Hells Canyon National Recreation Area, is the deepest river gorge in North America, spans 600,000 acres and is accessible by jet boat or raft. The area is filled with deserted ranches, old gold mines and ancient tribal carvings. This dramatic landscape is one of the most beautiful places on the west coast. Your adventure begins only 12 minutes away.
The Clearwater and Snake Rivers, converge at Lewiston. The north-flowing Snake River departs Hells State Park and forms the state border of Washington, while the west-flowing Clearwater River defines the northern border of Lewsiton. These two rivers create a number of outdoor activities from bird watching and fishing to adrenaline pumping white water rafting.
